Must have previously completed the quests, Samples from the Fog Hills, Delivery to Prungo, Echoes of the Sareth'Tal, Samples With A Side Of Revenge, and Recovery.
Talk to Philip Glaslow at ( -409,9,-74 ) in the Village of Somborn, Loping Plains.
Philip would like you to gather some plant samples from the area around the Druid ring in Loping Plains. In order to do this, he provides you with some seeds to plant.
Use Philip's Seed near Corrupted Druid Ring ( -415,27,432 ). It seems that they must all be planted a distance from one another, or you will get a message saying "the soil is too weak for the seed to grow".
If you plant a seed and get the above message, the seed can be recovered as it appears to be a "shiney" on the ground and will be added back into your inventory if you collect it.
When you plant a seed successfully, it will sprout up as "Philip's Plant" a few seconds later and be harvestable. Each harvest of Philip's plant gives you one update. Harvest the plant. You need to get 5 updates. You have to harvest them quick or they will die and disappear.
NOTE: Updates from harvesting Philip's Plants seem to be irregular by design. If you do not generate enough updates from the original 5 seeds Philip provides, return to Philip and he will give you 5 more.
- You can try sitting inside the Corrupted Druid Ring and just move around a bit. If the plant does not grow pick up the seed and try again.
Return to Philip Glaslow for your reward. Completing this quest opens up the quest, Additional Samples.
