Innkeeper Valean has had some books stolen and asks you to retrieve them for him.
You can find these books in The Down Below (behind the female merchant near the Nettleville/Graystone/Starcrest zones). It's a stack of books that is a trigger point. The exact location is -12,0,-7. You do not need to right-click or examine them but you do need to stand very close, possibly even on top of them. This is near Adair Barnes near the Starcrest zone in.
After clicking on the books you should return to Innkeeper Valean for your reward.
